///unofficial translation: Analysis of the samples available revealed conspicuously high levels of glycidol in the total fat of the homogenised samples. Glycidol is an undesirable substance which, according to the latest risk assessment by the EFSA Panel on Contaminants in the Food Chain (CONTAM), has genotoxic and carcinogenic effects. According to Article 2(1) in conjunction with Annex 1, Nos. 5.3 and 5.4 of Regulation (EU) No. 2023/915, the maximum level currently permitted in the EU is 1000 μg of glycidyl fatty acid ester, calculated as free glycidol, per kg of vegetable fat/oil. The maximum levels for glycidol are clearly exceeded in the total fat of the product in question, even taking into account the extended measurement uncertainty.
