The substance 3-MCPD is also considered undesirable and, according to the latest findings, has a carcinogenic effect (IARC Group 2B). The maximum levels for glycidol and 3-MCPD are clearly exceeded in the total fat of this product, even taking into account the extended measurement uncertainty.
