In connection with an ongoing outbreak investigation in Denmark the Danish Veterinary and Food Administation (DVFA) has taken environmental samples from a specific producer of eggs on September 25. These samples were positive of Salmonelle Enteritidis in 12 out of 14 samples from two different houses. On November 11 the DVFA confirms that there is a match on WGS analysis between the humane samples and the environmental samples. They are all connected by the same sequence type of Salmonella Enteritidis ST11.
