Because the plug blades of the dedicated charger (AC adapter) do not have holes as required under the applicable design standards, this configuration constitutes non-compliance with the the Electrical Appliances and Materials Safety Act. Furthermore, such a structure may allow the plug to be easily dislodged and may prevent proper contact with the metal terminals of the outlet, thereby posing a risk of spark and heat generation.
