- La unidad de control ABS-ESP puede haber sido programada incorrectamente por el proveedor, evitando que los fallos detectados se comuniquen al salpicadero del vehículo. En consecuencia, si el sistema de control de frenado falla, es posible que el conductor no reciba una advertencia de que las siguientes funciones no están disponibles: asistencia en el frenado de emergencia, sistema de frenado antibloqueo (ABS), programa electrónico de estabilidad (ESP), frenado automático de emergencia (AEB), refuerzo hidráulico del freno (HBB) y compensación hidráulica del frenado (HBC), lo que aumenta el riesgo de accidente.
