The plastic of the USB cable and solders on the printed circuit board (PCB) have excessive concentrations of lead (measured value up to 0.36% and 76% by weight, respectively).Lead poses a risk to the environment.The solders in the PCB have an excessive concentration of cadmium (measured value up to 0.18% by weight).Cadmium bio-accumulates and poses a risk to the environment.The plastic material of the USB cable has excessive concentrations of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) (measured value up to 4.68% and 4.09% by weight, respectively).These phthalates may harm the health, possibly causing damage to the reproductive system.The plastic material of the USB cable has also an excessive concentration of short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) (measured value up to 3.98% by weight, respectively)SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bio-accumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment. Prolonged exposure to them through the skin may cause cancer. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS 2 Directive). Nor does product comply with the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP) Regulation
