- Different parts in the scooter have an excessive concentration of lead (measured value up to 70.2 % by weight). Lead poses a risk to the environment. Moreover, a plastic cable has an excessive concentration of SCCP (measured value up to 2.16 % by weight) and an excessive concentration the phthalates DEHP and DBP (measured values up to 13.9% and 0.07 % by weight, respectively). SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bio-accumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment. Phthalates may harm the health of children, possibly causing damage to the reproductive system.Besides, the plastic handles on the steering wheel have an excessive concentration of polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) (measured value up to 4.7 ppm by weight).PAHs may cause cancer and are also mutagenic and toxic for reproduction. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS 2 Directive) nor with the REACH Regulation, nor with the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP) Regulation.
