Official description
The metal (solder) in the product contains an excessive amount of lead (measured values: up to 71,7 % by weight). Lead poses a risk to the environment. The plastic material of the product contains an excessive amount of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured values: up to 2,5 % by weight). This phthalate may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to their reproductive system. It also contains short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) (measured values: up to 3,8 % by weight). The placing on the market and use of articles containing SCCPs is banned, as SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bioaccumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment.
