/// According to the information on the label of the sample in question, it contains ‘Chuchauhasi extract’, ‘Kwoapet extract’ and ‘Malterserschwamm’. Foodstuffs that were not used in food or as food ingredients before 15 May 1997 fall within the scope of Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 in accordance with Article 3(2)(a)(iv) of that Regulation. They may only be placed on the market or used as food ingredients in the Community after authorisation has been granted. None of the above-mentioned food ingredients are known here. Likewise, the ingredients are not listed in the Novel Food Status Catalogue or in DVO(EU)2017/2470. For this reason, it can be assumed that this is a foodstuff in accordance with Art. 3(2)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2015/2283.
