Unofficial translation: In this sample, a double determination revealed an average glycerin content of 54,950 ± 12,639 mg/l (54.950 ± 12.639 g/l). With regard to a 5-year-old child weighing 20 kg consuming a 150-ml serving, adverse therapeutic effects are to be expected if the glycerin concentration in the slush ice exceeds 33.3 g/l. This concentration is exceeded in the present sample. Under these assumptions, the ARfD value is also significantly exceeded, with an exposure of 292 mg/kg body weight. Therefore, it is assumed that the glycerin content of this sample poses a health hazard.
