    The health authorities of Castile and León report that the necessary investigations have been conducted by the official control agency, which states that, according to the documentation provided by the operator—based on shelf-life studies, literature reviews, historical analytical data, and an ongoing challenge test with favorable results—the cheese in question belongs to Group 1.3 as defined in Annex I, Chapter 1 of Regulation (EC) No. 2073/2005, and therefore does not favour the growth of Listeria, and the applicable limit throughout its shelf life would be 100 cfu/g, making it a food suitable for consumption. The official control body acknowledges the validity of this classification. Consequently, no further measures will be taken regarding the product. In view of the above, the Irish authorities are requested to withdraw the alert.
