In Spain, this substance, when used at such doses, would be classified as a medicinal product, as it contains an active substance in sufficient quantity to restore, correct or modify a physiological function by exerting a pharmacological action, which confers upon it the legal status of a medicinal product as set out in Article 2(a) of the consolidated text of the Law on Guarantees and the Rational Use of Medicinal Products and Healthcare Products, by RD 1/2015 of 24 July.
