The expanded measurement uncertainty should not be deducted from the reported concentration in cases where this could pose a risk to human health. Given the particularly concerning profile of chlorpyrifos, any exceedance of the MRL must be considered a risk situation. In such cases, measurement uncertainty is not taken into account when assessing compliance.
