In the submitted risk assessment, the experts of NIZP PZH - PIB informed that due to the undetermined ARfD value (due to the lack of necessary data) for bifenazate diazene, the impossibility of determining the levels of individual components of the definition, and EFSA's statement that the definition for monitoring purposes should be changed, it should be considered that for the determined level of bifenazate (the sum of bifenazate and bifenazate diazene, expressed as bifenazate) in strawberries it is not possible to perform a risk assessment for the consumer. Given the above, it should be left to risk managers to decide whether the determined residue level of bifenazate in frozen strawberries (0.023 ± 0.012 mg/kg) poses no potential health risk to consumers.
