///Unofficial translation: The substance “aloe emodin” and “all preparations containing this substance” have been added to Annex III, Part A of Regulation (EC) No. 1925/2006 as prohibited substances by Regulation (EU) No. 2021/468 amending Annex III to Regulation (EC) No. 1925/2006 with regard to botanical species containing hydroxyanthracene derivatives of March 18, 2021, which entered into force on April 7, 2021. The inclusion of “aloe emodin” and “all preparations containing this substance” in Annex III, Part A of Regulation (EC) No. 1925/2006 means that this substance and all preparations containing this substance within the meaning of Article 8(2)(a) Regulation (EC) No. 1925/2006, are likely to cause adverse health effects. Cassia occidentalis, and in particular the seeds of Cassia occidentalis, listed in the list of ingredients, contain the anthracene derivative aloe-emodin and are toxic.
