Calculation in PRIMo version 3.1 of the estimated intake of methamidophos, with an ARfD of 0.003 mg/kg bw, from table grapes with a residue level of 0.05 mg/kg indicate an exceedance of the ARfD for children (122%) but not for adults (57%). Thus, a serious health risk cannot be ruled out for children. Since a genotoxic potential could not be excluded for dimethoate and toxicological reference values could not be established (EFSA Journal 2018;16(10):5454), a dietary risk assessment for the consumers cannot be conducted. Thus, a serious health risk cannot be ruled out. Furthermore, since the dimethoate metabolite omethoate was concluded to be an in vivo mutagen, the setting of toxicological reference values for this metabolite was not considered appropriate. Thus, a serious health risk cannot be ruled out.
