Confirmed exceedance of maximum residue limits for chlorpyrifos, ethion, buprofezin, carbendazim, carbofuran (total), triazophos and amitraz (total). The levels determined did not lead to an exhaustion of the ARfD above 100 % for the individual substances. However, since amitraz, carbofuran, chlorpyriphos, ethion, profenofos and triazophos are neurotoxic, the hazard index was additionally determined for consideration of the cumulative risk. This Hazard Index is 1.42 for German adults. Therefore, a health risk from the consumption of the chilies cannot be excluded.
