A white coloured particulate deposit was observed on the bottom/base of the water bottle. Following filtration, the particle deposit was collected. The approximate size of the particles ranged between 0.1mm and 0.5mm. The particle deposit was also subjected to heat in excess of 260 degrees Celsius (melting point of PET) and there was no visible change in the morphology of the material.
