unofficial translation of "Motivate risk decision": Due to the variety of nutritionally specific and physiologically active substances contained in the product and the so far known interactions between caffeine and the unlabelled synephrine, it has to be assumed that the product is an unsafe food according to Article 14 (1) in conjunction with Article 14 (2) (a) in conjunction with Article 14 (4) (a) and (c) of Regulation (EC) No 178/2002. Furthermore, dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE) was detected in the sample. DMAE is evaluated as a novel food according to article 3 (2) letter a lit i of Regulation (EU) 2015/1183. The detected DMAE concentration is also assumed to have a pharmacological effect when 78.5 mg DMAE is consumed per serving.
