Unofficial translation of section "Motivate risk decision": The kemirinut is the oily seeds of the candlenut tree (Aleurites moluccana). The seeds contain prussic acid and unspecified toxalbumines. The seeds have a slightly bitter and spicy taste and are typically roasted and used as a basis for seasoning pastes or cooked. Consumption of the unroasted seeds can lead to severe diarrhea and vomiting, and are therefore likely to endanger health. There is no indication on the sample that only sufficiently heated seeds may be consumed (Art. 9 (1) letter g) of the EU Regulation 1169/2011). The sample is therefore considered unfit for human consumption in the sense of Article 14 (2) (b) of Regulation (EC) No 178/2002.
