The DVFA has found that the food supplement Scitec Nutrition Revex 16 which has been notified to the DVFA by Fit and Fresh Body Aps, is notified with a content of 5 mg bioperine. On the productlabel is stated that the content of piperin in bioperin is 95 %. The content of piperin is thus 4.75 mg. A content of 4.75 mg of piperine per the recommended daily dose is significantly higher than the level that is assessed to be safe. The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration therefore considers the addition of piperine in the product to be harmful for the consumer.
