Risk and analytical results
- hazardObserved
- Risk assessment of pesticide residues in mandarines was performed by the Food Research Institute in Bratislava. The HI (Hazard Index) was also calculated for multiresidual finding of 10 pesticide residues [Acetamiprid (0,21mg/kg), Buprofezin (0,011mg/kg), Fenbutatin oxid (0,022mg/kg), Fenvalerate (0,064 mg/kg), Chlorpyrifos-methyl (0,047 mg/kg), Prochlaz (0,089mg/kg), Propiconazol (0,33mg/kg), Pyrimethanil (0,89mg/kg), Pyriproxyfen (0,006mg/kg), Thiabendozol (0,81mg/kg)]. HI was calculated for children and adults. HI (children) = 2,3 and HI (adults) = 0,46. Based on the calculated proportion of PSTI in ADI and calculated HI values, the commodity poses a health risk from consumption for children. No health risk for adults. Finding Fenvalerate (including Esfenvalerate) above limit: The PSTI value on the ADI value =32 % for children and 6,4 % for adults. Finding Fenbutation oxid above limit: The PSTI value on the ADI value =13,9% for children and 2,8 % for adults. No risk for children and adults.
