Risk assessment of pesticide residues in mandarines was performed by the Food Research Institute in Bratislava.The HI (Hazard Index) was calculated for multiresidual finding of 12 pesticide residues [Acetamiprid (0,036mg/kg), Buprofezin (0,006), Fenbutatin oxid (0,26), Chlorpyrifos (0,017), Chlorpyrifos-methyl (0,023), Imazalil (0,94), Ortofenylfenol (0,079), Prochlaz (2,4), Pyrimethanil (2,3), Sulfoxaflor (0,01), Tau-fluvalinat (0,028), Thiabendazol (0,036)] in mandarines. HI was calculated for children and adults. HI (children) = 8,6 and HI (adults) = 1,7. Based on the calculated HI values, the commodity poses a health risk from consumption for both children and adults.
