- En algunas situaciones, en las que el usuario deja deslizar la cuerda en el PIRANA para dejarse caer voluntariamente en el agua, la cuerda circula rápidamente en el descensor y puede bloquearse de forma accidental en la garganta de bloqueo. El usuario se encontrará bloqueado y no podrá retirar la cuerda de esta posición. Esta situación puede suponer un riesgo de ahogamiento, especialmente si el usuario está bloqueado bajo una cascada o en una poza.
