- The company has voluntarily recalled the concerned products due to the possibility to ignite them due to a manufacturing defect in some of the products, which has been identified as a safety risk. (Products with the same model numbers other than the subject date stamps are exempt from the voluntary recall because measures have been taken to address the manufacturing defects and there is no safety risk.) In addition, the company has been notified of three reports of accidents involving non-injury overseas, and has discontinued the sale of these products worldwide. In Japan, the company has not received any reports of accidents involving the product so far.

- Consumers who own the subject product should stop using it immediately and bring it to the return counter in the nearest IKEA store or call the IKEA Japan Customer Support Center (recall phone number: 0066-33-812883). The company recalls the products and refunds all the money, or replaces it with a new one. No receipt is required.
