- En algunos vehículos se ha identificado un desplazamiento de la membrana del servofreno, lo que reduce el vacío en el sistema de asistencia de frenado y como resultado se puede presentar un endurecimiento al accionar el pedal de freno. La reducción de vacío del sistema de asistencia a la frenada y el posible endurecimiento del pedal del freno requiere que se deba aplicar mayor fuerza sobre el pedal de freno por parte del conductor. Esto puede aumentar el tiempo y la distancia necesarios para frenado del vehículo y crean un riesgo de accidentes, con los consiguientes daños materiales y lesiones graves o incluso mortales al conductor, a los pasajeros y a terceros.
