- The head of the plastic doll may contain levels of phthalates that exceed the allowable limit and may pose a chemical hazard. Studies suggest that certain phthalates, including DEHP, may cause reproductive and developmental abnormalities in young children when soft vinyl products containing phthalates are sucked or chewed for extended periods. As of January 27, 2020, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

- Consumers should take the recalled toys away from children and return it to a Dollar Tree location for a full refund. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
