The product contains methanol, which is highly toxic if ingested. If ingested the product can cause serious and irreversible injuries or death.
Recommendations
Immediately stop using it. 60ml and 200ml bottles are affected. If you live in NSW, dispose of it in the general waste. For other States and Territories, check with your local council, Environment Protection Agency or disposal centre for information on safe disposal. If you suspect someone has swallowed the hand sanitiser, immediately call the Poisons Information Centre for information and advice on 13 11 26.
