- If live wires are touching the metallic body of the motor and a person touches any metal part of the motor or gate they will receive an electric shock if the household residual current device (RCD) trips. If the residual current device does not trip, then the person will be electrocuted.
- Recommendations
- Consumers should immediately stop using the product and should not touch the gate or gate opener until it has been disconnected from the power supply. Consumers can disconnect the product from the power supply by unplugging the power cable of the gate opener from the mains. Once disconnected, consumers can manually release the gate opener. Consumers should not remove the cover from the gate opener, but should contact BFT Automation to arrange a repair.
