- If the front windshield wiper becomes loose, it may cause an unusual noise if the windshield wiper arm should contact the edge of the bonnet. This could lead to reduced or no wiping function which reduces visibility and could increase the risk of an accident and injury to vehicle occupants or other road users. In the event of a serious accident this may result in death.
