The harvesting bay is subject to weekly biotoxin monitoring, however a sample was not taken the week of 29 March to 6th April 2026; as there was no evidence that mussels from the bay were safe with regard to toxins, the bay was closed and mussels should not have been harvested that week. Results for samples taken on 23/03/26 and 06/04/26 were satisfactory.
