After ingesting around forty aprikot almonds, the patient showed aspecific signs; however, these did not rule out intoxication by a cyanogenic compound.The patient was therefore referred to the emergency department. On arrival, the patient showed no further symptoms, and decided to leave the department against medical advice after an hour; without having been examined, or having had the benefit of a biology test (notably GDS) or an ECG.
