After the Cypriot company M. Morfis & Associates Ltd own check, it was found that the specific cans of Anchovy Fillets were bulging. During further investigation, and with the implimentation of the producer in Spain, it was found out, that the labelling instructions, to be kept between 5-12 °C were not followed. Moreover, according to an analysis performed by the producer in Spain to samples sent by the Cypriot company to them, the bulging is caused due to the high levels of histamine in the specific two lots of the products.
