Auf Grund des Verdachts der kanzerogenen Wirkung hält das BfR das Produkt als nicht geeignet für die Verwendung als Lebensmittel oder Nahrungsergänzungsmittel. Bei der vorgelegten Probe wurden im ungeschälten Blattabschnitt 400 mg/kg Aloin festgestellt. In den geschälten Gelstücken wurde zwischen 13 und 40 mg/kg festgestellt. /// Due to the suspicion of carcinogenic effects, the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) considers the product to be unsuitable for use as a food or food supplement. In the analysed sample, 400 mg/kg aloin were found in the unpeeled leaf section. Between 13 and 40 mg/kg were found in the peeled gel sections.
