This was a large consignment (over 20 tonnes) of assorted foodstuffs and non foodstuffs to include fruit and veg, herbs, spices, meat, bush meat, fish, nuts, palm oil, calabsh chalk, alcohol, medication, cosmetics, vitamins and other unknown substances. Non of the high risk goods or POAO were declared and the leakage of raw meats peppered throughout the consignment gave the OV cause for concern and resulted in the destruction of the entire consignment Important to note: Much of the shipment was outside checks and would have been released if imported without the risk of contamination
