- The company says it has identified high-voltage battery cells from one of its suppliers that can overheat when charged to a high level, which it says could lead to a fire in the battery. An overheating warning could appear on the digital dashboard display, which advises drivers to stop the car and get out.

- A recall and fix isn’t yet in place, but Volvo says that it is working on it as quickly as possible. It also stresses that no other models and not all EX30s are affected by the issue. EX30 drivers who are impacted by the problem cells can set a maximum charge limit of 70% in the car’s charge settings.
