- The manufacturer identified that the indicated models required a replacement of the starter motor, since there is a risk that water may enter certain points of the starter motor and cause corrosion. As a result, in some cases the engine may fail to start; that is, it may cause a short circuit that can lead to overheating of the starter motor and, in extreme cases, even cause a thermal fire in the vehicle, even while it is parked.
