Riesgo y medidas
- Riesgo o peligro
- 509 has determined the following issues with three groups of helmets. 509 Tactical 3.0 helmets and 509 for Polaris Tactical 3.0 helmets (Youth, Mountain, and Trail helmets) fail to comply with some marked certification standards and may not provide sufficient protection in the event of a crash, posing a risk of head injury. Small and Medium size only 509 Tactical 2.0 helmets, 509 Tactical 2.0 helmets with Fidlock, and 509 for Polaris Tactical 2.0 helmets, which were manufactured in 2023, may not provide adequate impact protection in the event of a crash, posing an increased risk of head injury. Certain 509 and 509 for Polaris helmets with Fidlock® (manufactured from 2020 to present with a stainless steel glide bar), the webbing on the chin strap may not be routed correctly. An incorrectly routed chin strap could allow a retention buckle separation and may not provide sufficient protection in the event of a crash, posing an increased risk of head injury. As of July 1, 2025, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries. In the United States, the company has received one report of the helmet detaching during a collision and one report of concussion.
