OECD GlobalRecalls: a worldwide product-recall portal

The OECD platform bringing together public product-recall notices from different jurisdictions.

01

What OECD GlobalRecalls is

OECD GlobalRecalls is a portal of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. The OECD established it as a single window through which governments can share product-recall information from around the world.

The platform brings together mandatory and voluntary consumer-product recalls issued by a governmental body and made publicly available.

02

What OECD GlobalRecalls publishes

The portal aggregates recall records from participating authorities and links back to source information. It supports comparison and discovery across economies and languages.

Each record depends on the public information supplied by the relevant jurisdiction; the portal does not turn those recalls into one worldwide measure.

03

Scope and coverage

GlobalRecalls has an international scope and focuses on government-shared consumer-product recalls. Coverage depends on participating economies and available public records.

The economy of recall, economy of manufacture and responsible authority may differ. The scope of an individual notice should therefore be checked in the record and the national authority publication.

04

Available information

Portal records may display:

  • date and product image
  • product name and category
  • economy issuing the recall
  • economy of manufacture
  • language of the notice
  • link to the responsible authority

NagameAlert

How NagameAlert integrates this source

NagameAlert incorporates available public OECD GlobalRecalls records, retains their identity and links to the aggregated record and available official resources.

NagameAlert does not translate or invent absent data. The OECD record and, ultimately, the national authority notice remain the primary references for scope and measures.
